Kathryn Hackett.  Clerical and Financial 

Trevor acts an occasional consultant in the field of architectural design for SRM Building Design Ltd. Trevor is based in Dumfries, Scotland (trading name: ArCAD UK).  He has developed an exceptional level of knowledge and appreciation of construction processes with over 30 years’ experience in the industry and is able to provide design services for any building project. Trevor specialises in computer aided design, 3D modelling, detailing and scheduling for a range of projects including new housing, conversion, industrial, leisure and residential care buildings. Trevor usually  works within S.W. Scotland, Cumbria and North Lancashire. 

Kathryn works part time and is essential to keeping good order within the office. Kathryn is in charge of secretarial and clerical duties including archiving and finances. Working within similar roles for another local business and St George's Church, Kendal means that Kathryn has a wide and varied knowledge within this field.

Ben, educated to degree level in Architectural Technology at Liverpool John Moores University, has worked for SRM Building Design since January 2014. Previously a Land Surveyor for Spatial Data LTD (2004 - 2010), Ben choose to become a mature student in 2010 to switch his focus to architecture and architectural design. Ben also has an MSc in Building Information Modelling & Integrated Design (BIM) and is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (MCIAT). 2018/2019 has been another productive period for Ben as he has completed 3 Revit qualifications and a Navisworks qualification.

Simon, educated to degree & MA level, has worked for the Lake District National Park Authority as a design & planning advisor & illustrator from the late 1970’s until the late 1980’s when he joined Barden Planning Consultants as a designer. In the mid 1980’s Simon became self employed working as a planning designer & illustrator, with the majority of his work currently with SRM Building Design Ltd & Steven Abbott Associates.

Stevan, educated to Degree level in 3D Design at Carlisle Art College 1979-80 & Manchester Polytechnic 1980-83, has been involved in the Construction Industry & Architectural Design since 1984, employed from 1984-87 in small family building company (JG Mason & Son), 1987-1994 as Architectural Technologist in a medium sized Architectural Practice (Harrison Pitt Architects), moving on to establish SRM Building Design in 1994, gaining Chartered status through a profiling route with CIAT in 1995.
